B.E.A.R. WORK PROGRAM
B.E.A.R. Work is a comprehensive and innovative program for Becoming Empowered, Authentic, & Resilient. It is specifically designed as a guide for group work for those who have suffered from moral injury, are working towards recovery from addiction, and/or are struggling with maintaining their mental health. This program may be utilized by employers to support staff both for team-building and bonding, and as a staff-retention intervention.
Developed from a trauma-informed perspective, this program prompts participants to engage in meaningful discussions, invites them into creative and poetic activities, teaches mindful breathing exercises, and provides opportunities to share and be witnessed. While this program fosters spiritual wellness, the program itself is not faith-specific and is inclusive of all spiritual paths. This program works to engage all of the senses and focuses participants on the spiritual work of repairing the soul, in community. Born at the intersection of theopoetics and moral injury, this program offers a multisensory and experiential path toward healing.
B.E.A.R. Work works when the group work works!
